Nail Technician
Job Description
At Lex Nail Bar & Esthetics, our Nail Technicians are artists, professionals, and hospitality experts all in one. We’re looking for licensed technicians who are passionate about creating beautiful nails, providing luxury-level service, and delivering an exceptional guest experience every time. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a clean and team-oriented environment, and embodies our salon’s commitment to excellence, care, and professionalism.
Pay and Schedule
Pay: Hourly + Commission + Tips (new techs start making around $20+ an hour and more seasoned techs are making over $30+ an hour)
Schedule: 10–40 hours per week (Full-time or Part-time)
Follow all Lex Nail Bar & Esthetics protocols and procedures, which include, but may not be limited to:

Adhere to all nail service, health, and safety protocols, including wearing gloves, proper sanitation, and disinfection procedures.

Consult with each guest to understand their goals and recommend appropriate services, treatments, and at-home care.

Remove guests’ current nail products (regular polish, gel, dip, acrylic, press-ons, etc.) safely and thoroughly.

Perform basic manicure and pedicure services, including cleaning and trimming nails, cuticle care, buffing, and shaping.

Provide professional massage services for hands, arms, feet, and calves.

Apply regular polish, gel polish, Gel X, and structured gels (upon completion of training).

Create and apply nail designs and art techniques to enhance the guest’s experience.

Recommend in-house products that support each guest’s nail health and aesthetic goals.
Complete back-of-house tasks at opening, throughout the day, and closing, which include, but may not be limited to:

Prepare and stock supplies and implements needed for the day.

Clean, disinfect, and package tools according to state board and salon standards.

Clean, stock, and prepare all manicure and pedicure stations.

Perform daily laundry duties.

Sweep, vacuum, and clean all main salon, kitchen, and bathroom areas.

Maintain inventory control and proper product storage.
Provide guests with utmost hospitality, customer service, and engagement, which includes, but may not be limited to:

Deliver consistent 5-star service to every guest.

Interact professionally with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Communicate needs, delays, and requests clearly with the salon coordinator and/or manager.

Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Assist salon coordinators as needed in greeting, checking in, checking out, and rebooking guests.

Accurately record and update guest information in salon systems.

Represent and market Lex Nail Bar & Esthetics both in and out of the salon through professionalism and personal presentation.
